Davido Says Joint Tour With Wizkid Will Sell Out, Reveals $500k Fee Per Show

Afrobeats star Davido has said a joint tour with fellow music heavyweight Wizkid would sell out venues worldwide, adding that he would charge $500,000 for each show.
Davido disclosed this during an appearance on the IONWANNATALK show, where he spoke about the possibility of collaborating on new music and going on a tour together with Wizkid.
However, he noted that he was not sure if a joint song would become a hit, referencing the collaboration between D’banj and 2Baba which did not make much impact.

The singer also revealed that they have not recorded together in about 10 years, stressing that it was not because they were unable to work together.
According to Davido, both of them have just not been in the same headspace, while acknowledging the different views on whether their rivalry helped their careers or if a collaboration would take them even further.
“If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop. If we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out,” he said.
He also talked about the need for maturity in handling disagreements, saying it takes a mature person to admit when their feelings towards someone have changed.
“I felt that way at some point but not anymore, and it takes a great man to do that,” he added.
