Davido Bets $1M On Hit Song Battle
Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared that no Nigerian artiste has more hit songs than him.
The Omo Baba Olowo crooner made the claim during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, where he threw down a $1 million challenge to any colleague.
“I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me,” Davido boasted.

He said he is ready for a hit-for-hit contest with any Nigerian artiste willing to face him.
Davido ranks among the most prolific hitmakers in the Nigerian music industry, alongside contemporaries like Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, Tekno and Runtown.
As of the time of filing this report, no artiste has publicly accepted the challenge.
It was also gathered that Burna Boy made a similar challenge during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
Former Mavin star Reekado Banks was the only artiste who accepted, but Burna Boy turned him down, saying he was not, “a worthy challenger.”
