Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has credited Afrobeats star Davido for helping him earn the highest amount of money he has made in his career through a single livestream.
Carter shared the story on a recent episode of the Cocktails & Takeaways podcast. He talked about his journey in streaming, his connection with Davido, and how digital content creation is expanding in Nigeria.
According to him, Davido’s appearance on one of his streams pulled in a massive audience and boosted his earnings overnight.

“Davido made me the biggest money of my life on a stream in one night. I became a big boy overnight,” he noted.
The moment underscores how livestreaming, digital platforms, and partnerships with big entertainers are opening new financial opportunities for Nigerian creators.
In December 2025, Davido joined Carter on a Twitch livestream that reportedly drew over 80,000 viewers at the same time.
The collaboration also led to a sharp rise in Carter’s followers and subscribers on the platform.
Born Oderhohwo Efe, Carter first gained fame through comedy and music before moving fully into livestreaming and online entertainment.
