DeeOne Tells Davido Campaign On Adeleke’s Record

Nigerian reality star and comedian, DeeOne, has called on singer Davido to base his campaign for Governor Ademola Adeleke on concrete achievements instead of celebrity influence.

Speaking in a video posted to his official page in the late hours of yesterday, DeeOne reacted to Davido’s push for Adeleke’s re-election in Osun State, warning that the governor could lose if the campaign relies only on star power.

According to DeeOne, Osun residents need good governance, not big names.

“Instead of using yourself, your brand and name to campaign for your uncle after he spent four years in office, use the thing wey your uncle don do, the work he has done to campaign for him.”

He added that voters are no longer swayed by emotion.

“No be say you go say, I’m Davido, vote for Adeleke. If you can’t tell the public what your uncle has done as a governor, he will lose re-election. No need to say I’m Davido if the governor is working. Now, we are not voting with emotions. Showcase what your uncle has done for four years. Davido, the people of Osun State deserve good governance not good entertainers.”

Meanwhile it was gathered that the Osun off-cycle governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026. Governor Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, AP.
