Fola Surprises Mum With Car, Land For Church After Blowing Up

Afrobeats artist Fola has blessed his mother with both a car and the land on which she built her church.
The singer, born Folarin Odunlami, shared the heartfelt moment online. He said his mum made the requests to him right as his music journey started gaining momentum.
According to him, she asked for two things: a church of her own and a particular car.

“When things began falling into place, I just asked my mum what she wanted. She said she wanted her own church building and that specific car. I’m grateful to God that He kept me long enough to tick both boxes,” he wrote.
Fola revealed he has earlier used his first big music paycheck to buy her a plot of land in Ibadan, where she later put up her church.
With the new car gift, he has now completed the second part of her wish list.
The star further credited his mother for pushing him to chase his dreams, saying she never stopped telling him he was destined for greatness.
He broke out with his single “Alone” and has since worked with top names like Ayra Starr, Wizkid, BNXN, Zlatan, Victony, and DJ Tunez.
Fola is signed to Dangbana Republik and Empire. He dropped his debut album, Catharsis, in September 2025.
