“I No Fit Give Police Money”— Boniface Tells Officers

Nigeria striker Victor Boniface caused a stir at Murtala Muhammed International Airport after he refused to give money to police officers while distributing cash to fans and airport workers.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward was captured on video walking into his car, giving money to fans who has gathered to welcome him.

In the clip shared online, a police officer appeared to make a request for “settlement,” Boniface looked up and said that, “I no fit give police money.”

Meanwhile, mixed reactions have triggered the statement on both social media and public space with many wondering the reason behind the decision of the footballer.
