Ikechukwu Nweke Seeks Help For Cancer Treatment
Actor and director Ikechukwu Nweke is asking Nigerians for financial support as he battles colon cancer.
In an Instagram post titled My Cancer Journey, Nweke revealed he has spent over ₦15 million on medical care in the last few months.
He said his treatment so far has included chemotherapy, radiotherapy, several scans, lab tests, and long hospital admissions, while also describing the period as both physically draining and emotionally tough.

The filmmaker thanked his family for their sacrifices through the ordeal and appreciated colleagues Destiny Etiko, Ebele Okaro, Lizzy Gold, and Uche Nancy for supporting him financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Nweke stated that doctors have told him to start the next phase of treatment immediately to boost his chances of a full recovery. But he admitted the cost has become too heavy to carry alone.
“For months now, I have been fighting cancer with everything I have. It has been a painful journey filled with countless hospital visits, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, tests, scans, medications and emotional battles.
“So far, over ₦15 million has been spent on my treatment. My family has sacrificed beyond words, and I remain deeply grateful to everyone who has stood by me.”
“Unfortunately, my battle is not over yet. My doctors have advised that I must continue with the next phase of my treatment to give me the best chance of a full recovery. I cannot afford to stop or skip this stage, but the financial burden has become overwhelming.”
