Iyabo Ojo Explains Ex-Husband’s Wedding Attendance Decision
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken about why she allowed her ex-husband to be part of their daughter’s wedding ceremony.
It was gathered that, Priscilla tied the knot in April 2025, with celebrations held in both Lagos and Tanzania.
The talented actress stated this during an interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, stating that her decision was shaped by her belief in generational cycles and her determination to end them.

Iyabo shared that her own parents separated, and she was unwilling to let her children go through a similar experience.
The mother of two said she vowed that any struggles from her marriage would not spill over into her children’s lives.
Speaking further, she opined that she made personal sacrifices to ensure her daughter finds success and joy in her own marriage.
She added that with her daughter’s father still alive, there was no justification for excluding him from the wedding.
She further clarified that her issues with her ex-husband were separate from their daughter, and he had not wronged their child.
“So I don’t know there’s something called ancestral curses, and we Africans believe it. I believe if you don’t want something to continue, you have to be able to break it. I made up my mind that whatever situation had happened caused my dad, my mom, also, you know, were not together- yeah, every mistake they had made that I have made, my children will not make it,” she said.
