The 25-year-old criminal, Aderahman Boumzough, who does not have a permanent home, was punished in court after being found guilty of killing the boy and trying to kill the other man.
The judge called the attack cruel and heartless, adding that the young teenager lost his whole future and all of his hopes.
After the shooting, the boy’s mother, Janay John-Francois, spoke about her deep sadness, saying that no words could describe the terrible pain and empty feeling of losing her beloved child.
Police caught and blamed Boumzough more than a year after the cri , after offering a large cash prize of £20,000 for details that would lead to his arrest.
The judge pointed out that Boumzough gave no reason at all for using such terrible violence in front of families, and he did not show any sadness for what he did.
In fact, a video on the killer’s phone showed that he was glad and bragged about his bad actions.
In the video, he sang a rap song about his gun getting stuck, saying it was annoying when a weapodides not work and stating that he wanted to kill someone, but God had a different plan.
The judge ruled that Boumzough must stay in jail for at least 35 years and 169 days before he can try to get out.
After the court case ended, a police leader thanked the brave people who helped by telling what they saw and coming to court, saying they helped make sure a dangerous person could no longer live near them.
