Lord of Ajasa Announces US Citizenship After Naturalization

Veteran Nigerian rapper Olusegun Osaniyi, popularly known as Lord of Ajasa, has announced that he has become a citizen of the United States.
The Yoruba rap pioneer disclosed this on Instagram, where he shared videos and photos with his wife, Funmi.
In one of the clips, the artiste displayed his citizenship certificate beside the American flag as he informed his fans of his new status.

“My fans, I’m now a US citizen; you all should know. This is my new country’s flag. I’m now fighting for my new country,” he said.
He also posted a picture of himself and his wife holding the US flag, with another post captioned “Thank You America.”
Lord of Ajasa rose to prominence in the early 2000s and is widely regarded as a pioneer of mainstream Yoruba rap in Nigeria.
He is known for hits such as “Ma Yi Lo”, “Le Fenu So” and “Esha Lo Bade”, and has collaborated with artistes including 9ice, Olamide and the late Da Grin.
