Mayorkun Says He’ll Demand DNA Test Before Accepting Any Child As His

Nigerian singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has said he will not accept any child as his own without a DNA confirmation.

The ‘Che Che’ hitmaker made the revelation on a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, where he spoke openly about his personal principles regarding marriage and fatherhood.

According to Mayorkun, he has already informed his girlfriend that they will be signing a prenuptial agreement before marriage and that a DNA test will be mandatory whenever she gives birth.

He disclosed that his girlfriend was not pleased with the decision, but he intends to go ahead with it anyway.

“I told my girlfriend we’d have to do a prenup and DNA test when she gives me a child, just to be sure. She got upset. I have thought of doing the DNA test without telling her. If it is my child, no issues. If not, everybody will hear about it,” he said.

His statement comes amid growing conversations around paternity fraud in Nigeria, with DNA testing becoming increasingly common.

In recent months, several celebrities and relationship experts have urged Nigerian men to verify the paternity of their children through DNA tests before taking on parental responsibilities.
