Mexican TikTok Influencer Killed During Livestream In Culiacán

Mexican social media creator César Gastélum was shot and killed on Tuesday while broadcasting live on TikTok outside a fast-food outlet in Culiacán.

Gastélum built an audience with comedy clips on the platform. He was live with two companions when two men on a motorcycle approached them. One of the riders allegedly fired at close range before both fled.

Local reports say police first assumed the victim was a delivery worker. Gastélum and his friends were wearing bright yellow jackets and had delivery bags with them. Officials later verified his identity as the influencer.
