NDC Youngest Candidate Jimsah Taylor Promises Visible Manifestos
Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01, Honorable Jimoh-Taylor S. Babatunde, popularly known as (jimsah)has picked up his nomination form for the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
This statement was disclosed in a exclusive interview with him, in the late hours of yesterday, shortly after obtaining his nomination form.
He stressed that his ambition was deliberate, not accidental. “We get in here, it’s actually not by luck or by chance. It has been what we’ve been proposed, working on for many years now,” he said.

Jimoh-Taylor said he already knows the areas to address if elected, citing his deep roots in Lagos.
“Because I was born, raised, and everything, educational background, Lagos, from one local government to another. I know what the people need,” he added.
He extended the claim to national leadership and promised voters would feel tangible results quickly.
“Even if I’m the president today, I know the area to touch in Nigeria. In the space of one, two years, definitely, the new air will be blown,” he said.
Rejecting empty promises, Jimoh-Taylor distinguished his approach from past campaigns, saying many manifestos lack substance and are “not visible,” while condemning vote-buying as corruption driven by voters “looking after sharing of rice.”
According to him, constituents are now demanding more. “The people are working up. No one is wanting rice or beans or sharing of bread to the people. They are not animals. All they want is true democracy.”
Jimoh-Taylor, who said he is the youngest candidate in his party, pledged transparent leadership and accountability, while faulting long-serving lawmakers who tout minor handouts as achievements.
“This is 2026. We need to do more of in our tech programs, tech institute, tech hub in the constituency, whereby everyone can get engaged, the youth, one way or the other,” he said.
He therefore added that a representative’s duty is to deliver government dividends to the grassroots through needs-based governance built on cooperation and collaboration.
“The responsibility of every representative is to bring every goodies from the top to the people of the constituency. And pull your ear closer to the people to know what they need. When we have a collaboration within majorly the youth and the old ones, that would be very, very beautiful to make this thing better,” he noted.
