Peller Urges Soldiers To Stop Posting Bandit Videos

Popular Nigerian online streamer, Peller has appealed to soldiers to stop sharing videos of captured bandits being tortured, warning that such posts could lead to retaliation against abducted children.
This statement was disclosed in during a live stream on TikTok platform, pointing out that showing the mistreatment of suspects could provoke armed groups to harm the innocent people in their custody.
“Soldiers we plead with you guys, do not post any video of you guys torturing bandits if you catch any, cause the more you upload videos the more those children in the bush are going to be tortured too, he said.

The content creator comments came amid ongoing insecurity in parts of Nigeria, where bandits have been responsible for kidnappings, including schoolchildren.
He therefore urged security operatives to exercise restraint in their social media activity, stressing the potential impact on victims still held captive.
