Phyna Blames Family For Poor Financial Advice After BBNaija Win

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has opened up about her biggest regret since winning the reality show in 2022.
She revealed that she wishes she had invested her prize money instead of using it to support family members, emphasizing that the decision has been a hard lesson for her.
Phyna further explained that she was young and naive after leaving the house, and didn’t manage the money properly.

“The mistake I made was using my Big Brother Naija prize money to support family members instead of investing it,” she said.
She added that she believed she was doing the right thing at the time. “I thought I was helping my family members and sorting out their debts. I was spending generously on them,” she stated.
The reality star also blamed her family for not guiding her financially, stressing that none of the older relatives advised her on how to invest or manage the funds well.
Phyna therefore noted that instead of encouragement, her family kept making financial demands, claiming that they even turned against her when she couldn’t meet up with their expectations any longer.
