He made this known on the occasion of his Area Command’s tour and interface with officers and stakeholders of Oji River, Awgu, Udenu, Nsukka and Enugu Area Commands.

According to the Commissioner of Police, “we have to eschew corruption because it is a disease that kills. We have to fear God and show love and compassion in the discharge of our job. We must resist any temptation leading to corruption and corrupt tendencies.”

Abdurrahman has therefore directed that one Sgt Ebuka Okonkwo, alleged to be involved in corruption be tried in an orderly room.

Okonkwo was said to have demanded for some amount of money ranging from 40,000 before granting a suspect bail. -Dedeigbo Ayodeji
