Portable Decries Economic Hardship, Faults Youth Disunity In Nigeria
Controversial singer Portable has spoken concerning the economic situation in Nigeria, expressing frustration over the hardship facing citizens and criticizing what he sees as disunity among young people.
In a video circulating online, the singer stated that many Nigerians are grappling with financial struggles.
“Na oppression full Nigeria. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. I need to talk. I don wake up. Na who die no go wake up again. Nigerians are hungry. There is no money in the country. Wetin dey pain me pass be say this Nigerian youths, they are all betrayers,” Portable said.

He argued that keeping quiet amid hardship would not drive change.
Portable therefore took aim at Nigerian youths, accusing them of working against each other rather than pushing for collective interests.
“Them no fit fight for their rights na to betray each other. That’s why the late former president Buhari say Nigerian youths are so lazy. Too much laziness dey worry Nigerian youths…” he added.
The singer’s comments as contributed to the ongoing public discussions about the cost of living and youth participation in national issues.
