Delta Court Remands Odogwu Asaba Over Rape Allegations

A Delta State court has ordered the remand of content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, over allegations of rape and the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.
The remand application was heard and granted yesterday, September 4, 2026.
Awele Ideal, lawyer to Favour’s family, announced the development in a social media post, saying Ogbonna has been taken to the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre.

“Today the 4/9/2026, the application to remand Mr Ifeanyi Ogbonna (Odogwu Asaba) was heard and granted by the Court. He has now been remanded at the Ogwashi Uku Maximum Correctional Center,” Ideal stated.
She added that the decision came shortly after autopsy and toxicology results were released to the police investigation team.
The results, alongside other evidence gathered, were included in the investigation report prepared for prosecution.
According to Ideal, Ogbonna will be produced in court as the case moves forward, while the Ministry of Justice, through the Attorney-General and Director of Public Prosecutions, will handle the next stage.
She therefore hinted that, she will continue to represent Favour’s family and update the public as proceedings continue.
