Remi Tinubu Begs Music Stars To Help Vulnerable Nigerians

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Afrobeat stars Davido, Asake, and Burna Boy to support the government in helping poor citizens.
This statement was disclosed yesterday during the launch of the national community food basket in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
“We have a lot of wealthy people. But our priorities are different. I want to appeal to young ones in the entertainment industry. I’ll use a music icon, Akon, who does a lot of great charity work,” she stated.

Citing Akon’s charity work as an example, Mrs. Tinubu please by advising Nigerian musicians to set up foundations to support vulnerable Nigerians.
“Asake, Davido, the Burna Boys of this world, and all of them. We want to see you with one foundation or the other, helping the poor with your money,” she said.
The First Lady added that the Federal Government alone cannot shoulder the burden of poverty.
“The burden on the government is huge. Good cars are good; a Maybach and Rolls-Royce are good, but still you can help,” she added.
