UNIPGC Canada 2024 Nominates Femi Oyewale For Peace Leadership Award For Excellence in Journalism

The publisher of Sahara Weekly magazine and Sahara Online, Femi Oyewale has been nominated for the prestigious UNIPGC Global Peace Leadership Summit and Awards 2024 in Canada on Friday, October 25th, 2024 at the Conservatory hall, City of Brampton Ontario, Canada.

 

 

 

 

UNIPGC Global President & Permanent Rep. to the United Nations, Ambassador Jonathan Ojadah announced his nomination yesterday. According to him, Mr Oyewale has been a great instrument in promoting peace in the global space through his platforms. This informed their decision to nominate him in that category at the 2nd edition of the Global Peace Leadership Summit And Awards ( CANADA2024) in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Peace & Governance (CIPG), USA and the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG), USA.

 

 

 

“The award celebrates outstanding achievements across various sectors and is bestowed upon individuals and organisations committed to nation-building, governance, community development, and sustainable peace-building”.

 

 

 

 

The event will feature both summit and Masterclass featuring insightful discussions and interactive sessions centred around the theme: Inclusive Governance for Sustainable Peace, Democracy, and Development.

 

 

The summit is scheduled to hold on the 25th of October, 2024 the third day after a two-day Executive Masterclass organised by Lifesquare Leadership Initiative in collaboration with the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG), scheduled for October 23rd and 24th, 2024.

 

 

Distinguished personalities from various sectors will come together to address key issues related to the theme. Dignitaries from around the world will also be honoured and recognized during the summit. Notable figures expected to attend include Her Excellency, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, former Vice President of Liberia, H. E Amb. Dr. Marshall Jonathan Ojadah, UNIPGC Global President, Hon. Chambu Mwavita Permette,- DR Congo Minister Of Human Rights, Hon. Kevin Uguru – Member Of German Parliament, Berlin Germany, HRH Queen Meenakshi Ravi – Mrs Universe, Texas USA among others.

 

 

The event will underscore UNIPGC’s unwavering commitment to promoting international cooperation, peacebuilding, and good governance, while also spotlighting community empowerment initiatives both within Canada and globally.
