VeryDarkMan Slams Onanuga Over AI Audio

Popular social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted strongly to a trending AI-generated video allegedly linked to him.

‎He dismissed the clip and accused the government of ignoring rising insecurity in the country.

‎The controversy follows a vow by the Presidency yesterday to prosecute VDM for allegedly sharing a fake audio clip of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎An X user, @Pious_minister, claimed the AI audio was used in one of VDM’s videos.

‎In the viral clip, a voice mimicking Tinubu allegedly said insecurity would continue because Nigerians did not vote for him in 2023.

‎Meanwhile, the audio has sparked widespread reactions online and drew the attention of government officials.

‎Reacting via a video on his social media page, VeryDarkMan described presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga as “stupid” and “daft,” insisting that he would not defend the controversial Artificial Intelligence clip and questioned the Presidency’s silence on recent kidnappings.

‎The activist pointed to the abduction of teachers and students in Oyo State. “Bandits went into a school in Oyo State, they carried three teachers, one man, two women, they carried students,” he lamented.

‎”One teacher was reportedly beheaded while others remained in captivity. One of the teachers was backing an infant child. Few days later, there was a report that one of the teachers was beheaded,” he stated.

‎He blamed Onanuga and others around the President for the situation. “I said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should not come back in 2027 because all the people that operate under him don’t use their brains,” he said.

‎VeryDarkMan maintained that the government should address insecurity instead of chasing him. “As I speak to you today, it is Children’s Day. Those children are still in an unknown location. It’s only stupid people that will believe that video,” he emphasized.‎
