Your role as my commissioner worthy of note – Tinubu hails Osinbajo
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has hailed Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as he turns 65 years.
In a congratulatory message he personally signed, Tinubu hailed the VP for his role while he (Osinbajo) was his Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General during his days as Lagos State Governor.
He also said that Osinbajo’s positive role as President Muhammadu Buhari’s deputy is worthy of note.
“I wish Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo a most happy and fulfilling birthday as he clocks 65 today.
“Prof. Osinbajo’s positive role both as deputy to President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as his able work as Commissioner for Justice & Attorney-General in Lagos State while I was governor, are both worthy of note,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu prayed that the God Almighty grant Osinbajo, who he described as an excellent legal mind, continued good health, peace and well-being for himself, his wife and children.
“May Almighty God guard and keep them all, as he also watches over the lives of all Nigerians, wherever they may be in the world,” he said.
While Tinubu has made his intention to run for the Presidency in 2023 public, Osinbajo is rumoured to be nursing the interest to challenge his former boss for the APC’s sole ticket.
