Zambian Model Lisa Mutambo Dies At 25
Zambian model and socialite Lisa Mutambo has died at the age of 25 after falling ill at her home in Lusaka’s Kalundu area.
According to the Zambia Police Service, the incident was reported to Chelstone Police Station around 9:30am on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Police said Mutambo passed away between 3:30am and 4:30am at Victoria Hospital.
Police deputy spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha said Mutambo spent the evening of August 19 with two female friends at a hotel where she was a brand ambassador.

The group left the hotel around 10:30pm and continued the night at another lounge in Lusaka.
“The Zambia Police Service, through Chelstone Police Station, received a report of a sudden death involving a 25-year-old female identified as Lisa Mutambo,” the police statement read.
Officers said Mutambo’s boyfriend arrived between 2:30am and 3:00am to pick up the women. He dropped the two friends in the Minestone/Casanova area before taking Mutambo to her Kalundu residence.
At home, she reportedly began vomiting and later became unconscious.
Her boyfriend called a friend for help and rushed her to Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said there were no physical injuries found on Mutambo’s body. The statement was issued to address online claims that she was beaten to death by her boyfriend.
Her body was first deposited at FSG Mortuary and later transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem to determine the cause of death.
