I Almost Postponed My Wedding Because My Elder Sister Wasn’t Married – Fashion Designer Prudent Gabriel
Popular fashion designer, Prudent Gabriel, has revealed that she nearly shifted her wedding date because she felt uneasy about getting married before her immediate elder sister.
Speaking during a recent church service, Prudent said the thought troubled her despite the fact that she and her husband were ready to settle down.
According to her, she decided to speak with her sister before finalizing her wedding plans to be sure she was comfortable with it.

Prudent explained that she told her sister she was willing to wait till the following year since they were not under any pressure.
“I asked her, ‘Are you okay with me getting married before you? I don’t mind moving it to next year. My husband and I are not in a rush,'” she recounted.
She said her sister, however, encouraged her to go ahead with the wedding.
According to Prudent, her sister told her, “Prudence, your marriage will be a blessing to me.”
The designer noted that her sister’s relationship was on a different timeline, as her partner was not yet ready for marriage, which helped her realize that marrying first did not mean leaving her sister behind.
Prudent admitted that she still felt emotional on her wedding day. She recalled hugging her sister and telling her she hoped she would also get married the following year.
She therefore added that the experience taught her that life milestones happen at different times for different people, and it is still possible to genuinely celebrate each other.
