Lagos Court Grants Rollex Dee N100m Bail After Two Months In Custody
Singer Rollex Dee has regained a path to freedom after the Lagos State High Court granted him bail on Friday, August 21, 2026, after he spent nearly two months in police detention.
According to activist MC Bokujaka, who has been spearheading the ‘Free Rollex Dee’ campaign, the court set bail at N100 million.
The condition includes two sureties of N50 million each, with one required to be a family member of the singer. MC Bokujaka noted that this requirement is making it difficult to meet the bail terms.

The bail approval followed the intervention of human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.
It was gathered that Sowore stepped in after widespread criticism online over what many described as unlawful detention.
Rollex Dee’s trouble began in April 2026 when he was first arrested for allegedly defaming and cyberbullying Ibadan-based musician Taye Currency during an interview on the Agbaletu programme.
He was released but picked up again in the first week of July after reportedly being invited to a “reconciliation meeting” by the Oyo State Police Command.
It was also gathered that Rollex was once a loyalist of Taye Currency and backed him during his public feud with Fuji star Pasuma.
Following their fallout, Rollex made allegations against Taye, which allegedly led to his arrest.
