Hon. Jimsah To Train 100 Residents On Free Shipping, Importation Business In Ifako-Ijaiye

As part of the efforts to tackle unemployment and create wealth at the grassroots level, Lagos State House of Assembly candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01, Hon. Jimoh-Taylor S. Babatunde, popularly known as Jimsah, has announced a free intensive training on shipping and importation business for 100 residents of the constituency.

This was disclosed in a press release made available to newsmen today. The programme, scheduled to hold from September 20th to 26th, 2026, designed to equip participants with practical skills to start and run mini-importation businesses with little capital.

According to Jimsah, the initiative is part of his ongoing commitment to empower residents and provide them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.

“Are you tired of unemployment? Do you want to start your own mini-importation business and be your own boss? This is your opportunity,” the statement reads.

During the training, participants will learn how to import goods directly from China, Turkey, and the USA at factory prices, identify fast-selling products, partner with affordable and reliable cargo companies, and sell through platforms like WhatsApp, Jumia, and Instagram for daily profit.

They will also be guided on customs clearance processes and how to accurately calculate profit margins.

The training is completely free and open to 100 residents of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01. The venue will be communicated to registered participants. Interested persons are to contact Comrade Alimi – Local Government Area Chairman on +234 814 153 4358 for enquiries and registration. Slots are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We are not just talking about empowerment, we are doing it,” Jimsah emphasized, while also reiterating his dedication and commitment to youth and women empowerment as a key priority for building an economically independent constituency.

Newscarte reported that Hon. Jimsah has also unveiled a free multimedia training program for 30 youths in Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01, designed to equip young people with digital and creative skills, with the sole aim of enhancing youth empowerment and strengthen human capital development within the constituency.
