“I Don’t Give Them Enough To Misunderstand Me” – Fireboy DML On Why He Has No Scandals
Nigerian singer, Adedamola Adefolayan, better known as Fireboy DML, has opened up on how he has managed to stay scandal-free in an industry riddled with controversies.
The ‘Peru’ crooner, who has kept a relatively clean image since his breakthrough, spoke about his public image and private life during a recent chat with fans.
According to Fireboy, he deliberately keeps his personal life away from the public, and that has helped him avoid unnecessary drama and misunderstandings.

The singer said his decision to stay low-key means people barely know anything about him beyond his music.
“They don’t know me enough to misunderstand me. I don’t give them enough personality or insight into my personal life,” he said.
Fireboy further revealed that he avoids getting involved in relationships or interactions with fellow artistes that could spark controversy.
He stressed that his focus remains on his music and artistic growth, not publicity stunts.
“I don’t have scandals, I don’t relate with other artistes, I don’t sell my music with gimmicks,” he added.
The YBNL star noted that he prefers to let his music speak for him, rather than chasing attention through controversial moments.
Over the years, Fireboy DML has continued to maintain a strong presence in the Nigerian music industry while keeping details of his private life largely away from public scrutiny.
