Former Minister And Reform UK Figure Ann Widdecombe Dies At 78
Ann Widdecombe, the prominent ex-Conservative Cabinet member who later served as a prominent voice for Reform UK, passed away at the age of 78.
An official announcement released by her representatives at Cloud 9 Management confirmed the news, stating, “It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of The Right Honourable Ann Widdecombe, DSG.”
Her management team highlighted that her lifelong journey and professional milestones were anchored by deep-seated faith and a dedication to communal duty. They noted that she thrived on intense political discourse and remained a fierce advocate on the campaign trail for Reform UK, well over a decade after stepping down from her seat in the House of Commons.

Beyond her legislative work, her agents noted she gained immense popular recognition for her memorable stint on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2010.
