Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Says She Walked Away From Deals That Would Have Made Her A Billionaire

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up about turning down several big money offers that could have “easily” made her a billionaire.

Speaking on the Afropolitan Podcast, the screen icon said she rejected the deals, including some in politics, because she refused to compromise her values.

According to her, some of the offers were not outright wrong, but accepting them would have watered down what she stands for.

“If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been one easily,” Omotola said. “There were times no one would have known if I took it and compromised. But I said no and walked away. Many times. Even in politics.”

“I’ve been in situations where I could have been paid handsomely to shift my stance. Sometimes they don’t even look bad. But in the long run, it would rock your foundation and dilute your message,” she added.

The actress therefore opined that whenever she loses out financially for standing her ground, she often experiences what she calls a “financial miracle” afterwards.
