“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, among other allegations, which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the statement read.
Poco Lee’s representatives also called on the media and public to avoid sharing details that are not connected to the actual case.
“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” it added.
The management therefore urged everyone to allow due process to run its course, noting that accusations should not be mistaken for proof.
“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the team added.
