Rema Calls Ex-girlfriend “Manipulative”, Ends Relationship
Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has opened up about why he ended his last relationship, describing his ex-girlfriend as “quite manipulative”.
The “Calm Down” hit maker disclosed this in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, pointing out that the romance was “beautiful” but lacked peace.
He explained that the demands of fame meant he looked forward to resting at home, but often met the opposite.

“Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me but coming back home is where you want to feel relieved, but when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story,” he lamented.
The singer further noted that the constant strain eventually forced him to walk away.
“My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure,” he stated.
Rema added that he reached a breaking point when he could no longer handle her excesses. “For now, I’m done,” he said.
Meanwhile, the prominent singer did not reveal his ex-girlfriend’s identity during the interview.
