Suspect Arrested for Raping and Impregnating 13 Year-Old Girl

One Mr Kazeem Bello who allegedly conspired with one Dayo Maker 26 Oreshegun Street, Elaje Bariga to gang rape a 13 year old girl has been arrested.

The victim became pregnant as a result of the defilement and gave birth to a baby girl about five weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the suspect had earlier threatened to kill the girl if she tells anybody about the incident, but she later summoned courage to narrate her ordeal to her family when the same suspect threatened to rape her younger sister.

One of the suspects Dayo Maker, was arrested by detectives from the Family Support Unit, Bariga while his accomplice Mr Kazeem Bello is at large.

“Investigation is ongoing and efforts are emplaced to apprehend the second suspect,” Lagos Police spokesperson, DSP Bala Elkana said.
