Traditional worshippers perform rituals over killing of Akeem Adebisi by Church members

Traditional worshipers at Gbirimi community has performed rituals to appease the gods of the community over the killing of a traditional worshipper, Akeem Adebisi by church members during Oro festival in the community recently.

According to Akindele Olasukami a.k.a Agbomola, the ritual (sacrifice) is necessary, because without it there will be no peace in the community. 

“We are performing this ritual (sacrifice) today to appease the gods of the community, because if we don’t do it there will be no peace in our community. 

”It is because he was killed during the Oro festival, it is not that he was sick and died which is natural,” Agbomola explained.

Also speaking with our reporter, the Otun Baale of Gbirimi Community, Chief Rasaq Alawode said the community will continue to witness progress and peace since the ritual (sacrifice) has been performed to appease the gods of the community over the killing of Akeem Adebisi by church members during the just concluded Oro festival and prayed that the soul of the deceased rest in peace.
