Traditional worshipers at Gbirimi community has performed rituals to appease the gods of the community over the killing of a traditional worshipper, Akeem Adebisi by church members during Oro festival in the community recently.
According to Akindele Olasukami a.k.a Agbomola, the ritual (sacrifice) is necessary, because without it there will be no peace in the community.
“We are performing this ritual (sacrifice) today to appease the gods of the community, because if we don’t do it there will be no peace in our community.
”It is because he was killed during the Oro festival, it is not that he was sick and died which is natural,” Agbomola explained.
