Woli Arole, Apa Drag Ola Best Over Thrift Money
Nigerian comedian-turned-prophet Woli Arole and actor Sanusi Izihaq, popularly known as Apa, have publicly called out gospel singer Ola Best over allegations that he relocated to Canada with their monthly thrift contribution, popularly known as Ajo.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Woli Arole said he was addressing the issue directly before going further.
“I’m sending this video to you and I’m making it public. The next video I’m going to do, I’m going to mention your name. We started the contribution in January and na me dey collect for this August,” he said.

The comedian further demanded a response from the singer, saying “Oga pay my owo ajo. Your number is not reachable. You wrote ‘thank God for journey mercy’ in your Whatsapp story. I saw you in Canada. Your number must be reachable in the next few hours or else I will mention your name.
Actor Apa also reacted in a separate video, saying Woli Arole introduced him to the contribution.
“Woli Arole, I don’t understand your last post but what I can tell the public is that, you’re the one that introduced me to the monthly thrift. Now after your post, I tried to call the admin but his number is not going through.”
Responding to the backlash, Ola Best addressed the matter in an Instagram video.
He acknowledged the debt but asked for time.
“Baba, Woli Arole you are our father, you can’t be going around social media because of ajo (thrift). I just arrived in Canada two days ago. I was given a two-year visa. Give me some time to pay your money. You can’t be shouting because of thrift money,” he said.
Meanwhile the controversy has since sparked reactions online, with many weighing in on trust and accountability in group contributions.
