By Abdulbaqi Jibreel Ajao

‎Nigerian media personality and content creator Amarachi Amusi, better known as Ashmusy, has said she is not in a rush to get married at 30.

‎This statement was disclosed on a recent episode of the Echo Room podcast, explaining that freezing her eggs has given her peace of mind about motherhood.

‎According to her, “But I don’t have to go through again because I have frozen my eggs. In the next 3-10 years, I can confidently go for insemination and have my mixed kid. I want to have a mixed kid.”

‎She stated that the decision made her feel secure about her future, even if marriage did not come immediately.

‎Speaking further, Ashmusy revealed that she has once nearly married someone she knew was not right for her, driven by desperation and pressure around the “biological clock.”

‎She therefore emphasized that while marriage remained a goal for her, she is no longer desperate about it, adding that she feel protected for the future and confident that she would become a mother, by God’s grace, regardless of whether the right partner came along.

‎“Honestly, most women who rush into marriage early do so because of the myth of the biological clock… With that rush, you now end up getting into the wrong marriage.”
