Nigerian Idol Auditions Week 2, Three Platinum Cards And A Show Filled With Dreamers

After an impressive opening by auditionees at the first episode of the Nigerian Idol season 9, the new set of auditionees in the second episode took the competition a notch higher by clinching more golden tickets and the elusive platinum tickets.

 

 

Three outstanding contestants earned the highly coveted platinum ticket which automatically secures a place in the finals for them after their impressive performances left the trio of Omawumi, Ric Hassani and DJ Neptune ecstatic.

 

 

The contestants displayed their singing and cooking skills, Chima went into the audition room with a cooler of food, confident in his singing skills and cooking skills. He left the audition room all smiles and brandishing a golden ticket.

 

 

Mikky was the first contestant to earn the platinum card with his sonorous performance that earned pleasant reactions from the judges. Chima, the second contestant to earn the platinum ticket also earned himself a standing ovation from the judges and a personal ticket presentation from judge Ric Hassani. Japheth, the third and final contestant to earn himself a platinum ticket which was well deserved as decided by the judges.

 

 

Other notable performances of the night include Jennifer with her amazing voice and determination to sing out her soul in a performance that elicited passionate approval from the judges, especially DJ Neptune. Another contestant who impressed the judges was Ruth who said she was on the show to sing and prove that she was more than a club promoter but someone with a voice worth listening to, and she delivered a wonderful performance that would not be forgotten in a long while.

 

 

After this audition, the judges are convinced that the bar has been raised and the other contestants yet to perform would have to bring their A-game to the room to secure a spot in the show.
