Ogogo For Burial Today In Ilaro, Ogun
Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, will be laid to rest today, in line with Islamic burial rites.
According to an announcement by the Ilaro Muslim Community, the burial prayer will hold by 10am at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The rites are scheduled to take place less than 24 hours after his passing.
In a statement signed by the Chief Imam of Ilaro and shared on Instagram by Seun Oloketuyi, founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards.

The statement reads: “THE ILARO MUSLIM COMMUNITY WISHES TO ANNOUNCE THE BURIAL OF OUR BELOVED BROTHER, ALHAJI HASSAN TAIWO (OGOGO).
Ogogo to be buried 10am Tommorrow.
INALILAHI WAHINA ILLAEHOLI RAJHIUN”
NEWSCARTE gathered that the declaration came less than two hours after news of the actor’s death broke on the social media and public space.
Ogogo died on Sunday evening after a battle with stage 4 cancer.
The legendary actor was widely celebrated as one of the leading figures of Yoruba cinema, with a career spanning decades and roles that made him a household name across Nigeria.
