Single At 30 Because Of K-Dramas, says Mummy Wa

Content creator and skitmaker Kemi Ikuseedun, popularly known as Mummy Wa, has opened up on why she remains single as she clocks 30.

In a recent video, the entertainer said she is yet to find a man she considers truly suitable for a relationship, while also admitting that she often gets emotionally attached to fictional characters from movies and TV shows.

According to Ikuseedun, the habit has shaped her expectations in real life, because the men she admires on screen rarely exist off-screen.

She referenced South Korean actor Lee Min Ho and his role as Gu Jun-pyo in the hit drama Boys Over Flowers, saying she still imagines meeting the character even though she knows he is not real.

The skitmaker added that she sometimes worries that meeting Lee Min Ho in person might not live up to the perfect image portrayed in the series.

She also noted that many women share the same experience of falling for fictional characters, which makes it harder to bond with real-life partners who lack those qualities.

“The reason why I am still single is because I went to go and fall in love with a fictional character. And it is not only me, a lot of women fall for fictional characters. But where are we going to see him?

“I am almost 30, and I am still waiting for Lee Min Ho. What if I meet Lee Min Ho in real life and he is not the same as the person in ‘Boys Over Flowers’?” she stated.
