VIRAL VIDEO: OPERATOR OF BRT, PRIMERO DEBUNKS BUS HIJACKED FOR ALAUSA IKEJA PROTEST ATTACK

Primero Transport Services Limited has debunks rumour that their bus was used to conveyed thugs that attacks protesters and passerby at Alausa-Secretariat.

Primero Transport Services Limited, a leading transportation and allied services provider and operator of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) in Lagos wishes to inform the general public that the BRT Bus reported to have allegedly conveyed hoodlums that attacked protesters at Alausa, Ikeja today was not operated by Primero.

The Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Fola Tinubu in an official Letter Titled: “Alausa-Ikeja Protest Attack”
personally sent to the National President, National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) stated that, the information as released by @savvyrinu on Twitter earlier today on his page (time: 8.44am) is false.

“Lagosians should note that Primero TSL does not operate on Alausa Ikeja axis. None of our buses was used to convey thugs to Alausa”.

We currently operate on two BRT corridors across Lagos State- Ikorodu-TBS and Oshodi-Abule-Egba BRT corridors.

The Lagos State Government Agency, LAMATA (Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority) gave BRT operator licenses to about four operators across the state. Primero is one of the four BRT operators in Lagos.

Tinubu further appeal to the protesting youths to keep the protest peacefully, “We appeal to the youths to keep the protest peaceful across the state. We have the mandate of satisfying our commuters by providing convenient, affordable and technology-driven services to Lagosians 24/7 every week”, he explained.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has strongly condemned the attack of peaceful protesters by armed and unscrupulous elements trying to cause chaos in Alausa today.

Sanwo-Olu stated that, “My government will never tolerate the attack of protesters. Security agents will immediately protect peaceful protesters from miscreants”.

It will be recalled that, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, had earlier met with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed to present the demands of the protesting to the Youths.
