Losing Both Parents Is My Toughest Career Challenge – Ryno Says

Afrobeats and Afro-soul singer Ryno has opened up about the personal struggles behind his music career, saying that losing both parents has been the hardest challenge so far in the music industry.
This statement was disclosed during an interview with PUNCH correspondent yesterday, describing his music “as an outlet that allows him to express life realities and inspire listeners navigating difficult moments.”
The Ogun State singer, born Abebefe Ayomide, stated that despite the emotional weight of the losses, he has turned those experiences into music while growing his brand in Lagos.

According to him, “his journey into music officially began in 2020, though his passion for entertainment started from childhood within his family setting.”
Ryno revealed that his musical foundation began at home, fueled by his family’s persistent support.
“My foundation in music started at home with my family’s unwavering belief in me. As a child, my sister would beat the drums, I would sing, and our mother would dance to our rhythm,” he explained.
Furthermore, he noted that his sound and songwriting are still shaped by street experiences, personal struggles, and everyday life.
“I want my music to inject pure motivation into my listeners. My message is simple. Stay determined and keep pushing forward no matter what,” he added.
Meanwhile for Ryno, the major message of his music is motivation, and inspires young people to keep believing in themselves no matter what they’re going through.
